I sincerely hope The Hobbit is a commercial success. Not just because  we’ve waited so long to see it happen and because it deserves it, but  because maybe it’ll also open the door for adaptations of some of J.R.R.  Tolkien’s other beautiful stories. For example, the epic love of  Luthien and Beren? I’d certainly love to see that on screen. I think  Middle-earth is rich with stories that could be adapted.
